Track your habits

Why is this so important?

You don’t know how you are doing at something if you don’t track it.

And it’s our habits that give us results - The habit of analyzing deals, the habit of exercising every day, the habit of posting content daily, etc.

These habits are how we become the person we want to be.

A simple way to track your habits

Matt King recently spoke to FI Investors about having a Vivid Vision.

When you are clear on what you want, you can reverse engineer the habits you need to get to where you want to go.

Make and track a list of habits needed to reach your goal.

For example, if your goal is to buy your first small-multifamily deal, your habits would be:

  • Analyze X deals per day

  • Contact X brokers per day

  • Make X offers per week

Every morning, look at your habit tracker.

Did you do it, or did you not? Check yes or no.

You track your habits in Excel, Google Sheets, or your own journal.
